Perkins Diesel CJ tracking thread-

    5.38 as far as I've seen. Mine had 3.73 when I got it, but the previous owner stated he'd had them changed out at some point for better driveability. I think 4.27 might have been the only optional ratio available then, but no idea if the diesels were available with it. There's probably only 2 people with Perkins Jeeps active in any forum/social media at this point including me... And 2 was a stretch a week ago. A sample of 2 doesn't tell much of a story anyway.

    I had a CJ5 that was originally a Perkins Jeep that had 4.27's in the axles. Story was it was used in the copper mines in the UP of Michigan until a W. MI family bought it. They liked the diesel but wanted a bit bigger rig so swapped the Perkins into a Commando.

    JB Stoltzfus posted his latest find on the CJ6 group. Perkins Diesel CJ6 #8410 10526. Also owns Perkins CJ-5 #8310 10837.
