    Question?

I had a 76 Powerwagon that had dual tanks, manual fuel pump. Was a toggle that ran off ignition to basically a solenoid T. On the off position, I think it was front tank, on position was rear tank. Double sending units. Used to run rear first down to a quarter in the hills. Then flip to front. This left me 5 gal or so when front sucked fumes or I switched it over on E...
I also plumbed in an electric pump on a different toggle on the carb side of the T for a little help as once in a while it seemed the manual pump wouldn't have enough suck and the engine seemed to sputter and starve.

Flipping same toggle switch also redirected the fuel gauge to the appropriate tank.

The PO removed the front on mine, but I'm considering replacing and setting up as mentioned above, maybe add a pressure reg on carb side of electric pump.

I'm slightly confused on making this go with the 'return' gas line off the manual pump and considered just capping the return, or some how plumbing a one way valve in and back on the line itself.

Anyone go this route? Thoughts? Sanity?

I'm not sure if this answers your question but I found a valve with six ports, 3 for supply and 3 for return fuel. Available on eBay. Get the switch to match. It alternates pos and neg to operate the valve.

I used a pair of solenoid tank switches from James Duff Bronco site. One switches the tanks and senders, the other switches the return lines. They are wired together so one switch changes both.
