I am attempting to fix some of my steering problems, the one i am trying to fix now is where i turn the steering wheel and watch the bellcrank i can see the shaft move and wobble as i turn the wheel. To fix this I have just bought a Crown 7/8 bellcrank shaft kit. everything in my opinion looks pretty darn good nearly perfect. but i am trying to decide if i should replace or keep using my bellcrank. I am leaning towards use it. I know there was a spec floating around the internet on whats considered worn but now i cant find that spec.

Looking at the ball, to me has NO appearance of being "egg shaped" it looks pretty good in my opinion and when i took my caliper and measured the ball it looks to be only a difference of .018 from side to side and when i look at that little difference it looks like about the size of a needle if that. there was a small edge that you could see towards the top of the ball but i have polished that away.

I believe it is either the original for my 59 CJ5 or at least has been replaced with a NOS unit. and the seats in the drag link i don't think could look much better.
