PS Conversion - Will it clear an old Warn Bellview Winch?

I have a really nice Warn 5687 winch that I want to add to my 1971 restoration project. I also want to add the PS conversion from Advanced Adapters. Will the steering box and the winch coexist between the front frame rails?

I am also looking for replacement control cables for the winch. There are three. I have have heard that Napa has direct replacements. Does anyone have the part numbers?

The winch will fit. I have same set up on my 1970 cj5. You will need to slide winch to passenger side about an inch to get it to fit.
Contact Warren directly, i believe they still offer replacement cables for that model.

 

I have the same set up on a 2A. I replaced the power cable with a push button to make it easier to use.

 

If you use the Advanced Adapters Steering gear bracket you will have to offset the Winch to the Passenger side.........if you do a 3/8" plate set into the drivers side frame rail to mount the steering gear the Winch will fit in there centered...........clears by about 3/16".

The cables are no longer available...........They were a common HD cable that still exists in the aftermarket and are used for hand throttles and various other things on drill rigs and pumps you can google that up.........You may also want to call these folks in Minnesota @ 4 Wheel Drive in Center, Minn. 1-800-328-4445.........they bought all the old Winch parts from Bellview / Warn years ago and still have some. They may also make a set of cables.
