1975 paint color

just thinking...
working on some paint colors for my CJ6...

looking at my fleet the one color that I don’t have even a variant shade is blue....
have been thinking of these 2 colors from 1975..

AMC
Jeep
Renegade Blue

Jeep
Medium Blue

anybody have any fresh paint examples?

 

Anything with "Poly" is a metallic color. So "Medium Blue Poly" is a metallic paint, similar to the earlier Jetset Blue Poly.

Renegade Blue is a solid, a mix of white and blue.

There are color sheets at http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1975-Jeep-pg01.jpg - IMO pictures on the internet won't help you much more than the chips on the color sheets. Your most accurate method would be to go to a new car dealership and get the paint code from a vehicle with the color you like.

some of my stores mix paint so test cans aren’t the issue..
I always like to stick with a factory color around the same vintage...

I am only painting the steel on my CJ6...
I’m leaving the aluminum tub bare... so a color that looks right with the Alum is a must..
I’ve seen some of the levis or Renegade's with a metallic blue that just looks awesome..

 

anybody have a jeep in either renegade blue or medium blue poly they can share?
