I decided to fill the crankcase and turn my year old but never started F134 over and see if it would have any oil pressure.
I filled the oil pump with vaseline and hooked up a battery. After a few revolutions the guage moved to 10#.
Does this seem reasonable for cranking oil pressure? It would not go any higher but I wonder if I should expect it to when I start it.
What do you folks with rebuilt F134 experience say?

Where did you mount your oil pressure sensor?

Sounds about right. Hard to say exactly - depends on viscosity rating, temperature, rpm, etc. Anything over zero is good!

Thanks for the comments. The guage was mounted where the sender goes. Oil is 10w-30 Penzoil.
By the way, how long does it take for the oil to flow to all the parts?

I should add, maybe I'd look for 30 to 50 psi on a 'new' engine when started cold, but 10 or 15 at hot idle. Roughly.

Original spec was 35psi@2000rpm hot. No less than 6psi at idle.

I think I may try to start it on the floor tomorrow and see what happens.
