I decided to pull the fiberglass tub off my 69. My goal is to clean up some of the drive train and frame etc. It looks like this Jeep had an earlier rest of some sorts but needs attention again. Im trying to not kill the bank and just plan on cleaning her up and using some decent hardware to put her right again. it all started with having to put a new clutch in, stll need to do it. For some reason My pictures wont post up using the traditional way so hope my links work. I have the pics hosted at Flikr.

I cleaned up the drive train somewhat and pulled the Trans and t case out. Have the new clutch in but have to put the Trans back etc. I also decided to paint the underside of the Tub as it was never painted (fiberglass). Whole lot of other stuff I have been trying to clean up on her as well. I believe I am going to paint her Desert Sand (Matte) and paint the rims Black. I also had welded some repairs on the frame and on the Body mount attaching areas.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Im moving along but now have to rewire it. Seems the old harness was just a mass of junked up wires and tape.

It will be mostly on road but some off. My daughter wants to learn how to drive, I thought a 69 CJ would be a cool first car to drive. No its not hers (yet).

Love the color. How thick are your body mount bushings for your fiberglass tub?

    Thanks AJ
