CJ6 with a Perkins (?) diesel found on CL

    The numbers don't seem to match for this being an original Perkins CJ6, and since the seller mentioned it being a "Massey Ferguson" diesel, it's looking like a transplanted tractor 4.192 in a CJ6 hulk. But, if there's somehow enough parts that would be useful to someone restoring any Perkins Jeep, I thought this might be worth mentioning here. Would love to see what's left of this Jeep be put to some good use. I don't have any room for another non-running Jeep at the moment or I'd consider it.

    now that's a rust bucket. Never noticed before but for some reason the oil bath air cleaner just doesn't seem like a good idea on a diesel with my limited knowledge of them...

    Ha, didn't think i'd be the only one to notice it. Still, like was said, if there's any parts useful to someone with a factory perkins jeep setup...I'm surprised it's still there.
