1980 CJ7 Door Latch - Help !!!

    I know this is not a Early CJ but I am at a loss as to finding the INSIDE latch for Ashley's Jeep. With the hard top on it is a safety hazard for her to get out, she has to bump the latch pin/slide w/a flat screwdriver.

    I did take it off and there is play and the slide comes out to far.

    I did see one for about 40 bucks but can't find it now.

    Note: I did find the handle that goes through-I just need the latching part. I tried to take it apart but it is tack welded so I can't get to it to fix the play.

    Any help would be appreciated big time.
