    Never any stickers, AFAIK.

CJ-6 was a different type of beast than the CJ-8. The CJ-6 was conceived as a utility vehicle... none of the sporty stuff. And no they did not have every option that the CJ-5 had. No Renegade package, no Super Jeep package, there never was a factory roll bar, no T-18, etc. etc.

Well, CJ-6 production ended for the domestic market after 1975, so if the V8-T18 CJ-6 existed, it would only be an export model. I have very little information about exported models.

There were reported some V8-T18 CJ-5s or CJ-7s from the late 70s, but I doubt that any export CJ-6s got that combo. Maybe by special order... but I expect the only way you could prove they existed is to find one and record the VIN.

EDIT- Actually, the parts book does prove that the T-18 was offered in the model 84 (CJ-6) in 1978-79; this would be export only. There is a rear drive shaft for that application, PN 5356687. Next I went to exhaust, and it looks like there was no V8 in an 84 after 1975 - only the sixes. So according to the parts book, the V8-T18 was never available in that model.

I suspect the CJ-6s only exist because of the contract to build the M170, so Jeep was able to develop most of the tooling at little added cost. They had little popular appeal in the day except as utility vehicles, and were thought to be ungainly and ugly.

Again I speculate - Production was so low that it did not make sense to extend all the CJ-5 options to the CJ-6. The only way I could have gotten a 258/T-18 CJ-6 in 1975 was for the dealership to offer to build one for me (they did - I passed - sigh). It could have been done with off-the-shelf parts, except for the rear drive shaft.

My wife thought I bought some sort of Jeep Hearse, what with the homemade top and coffin trim on mine (Prev. owner worked at Casket Shells, Inc.). I thought it was cool and vintage. Wow, my rose colored glasses must always be on....
