I need a dimension from somewhere on the firewall to somewhere on the front of the frame. Keep in mind that I have no fenders, hood, or grille on it ATM. I do have a 258 mounted in it though.

I am trying to place my tub on the frame to build my new floor supports, but things are not lining up right. With the previously fabricated "custom" rear mounts on the rear cross member lined up the way they were before, I have like 3.5 inches between the firewall and the valve cover and I know that's not right. I checked dimensions against my 73, but it's been pretty molested, so I don't trust the numbers. So I'm looking to dimension from the front of the jeep instead of the back.

Its kinda hard to measure directly but from the firewall ,at the master cylinder flange to the middle of the top bumper bolt hole, looks like 48"
That gives me 1 5/8" between the firewall and the back face of the valve cover.(not the flange)

    Does that help?

Thats just what I needed. I am running 1 3/4 ish to the valve cover and 49 inches from the master cly to the top bumper bolt. It's not like I am building the space shuttle here, so I should be fine with the wiggle room.

I'm sure it'll see airtime, don't get me wrong. Also I changed the settings again on the wmmj page so you should be able to see our trail ride stuff.
