okay so I have rebuilt the t-14 transmission, and the transfer case.

I have a noise that is coming from the transmission in third and second.

you push in the clutch it stops, I removed the floor board trying to diagnose were the noise was coming from and I put my heel on the clutch cable while driving and doesn't affect the noise.

doesn't seem to matter if transfer case is in high or low,
neutral I can't hear a noise unless I put a breaker bar against the transmission, and then the most noise is were the input bearing is. its a growling noise but you can't hear without the breaker bar.

so this is were i'm at I pulled the input bearing and its just like it was before I installed it. No play, no noise, smooth..

It felt like a little drag from the shaft, I took out the input shaft and manually shifted the transmission in second and third makes noise but I think its just the transmission (noise its supposed too)

i'm not sure were to go from here? tomorrow I will check those roller pins to see if they are all the same size but i don't have calipers..
I have some pitting were the input shaft and main shaft connect but I don't think this is enough to make so much noise.

Any suggestions or opinions would be helpful, anything to get my mind thinking of other possibilities?

here is a movie clip of what the noise sounds like.

this is in four wheel drive

I would drop both drive lines at the t-case and run it thru the gears.

Or put a jack stand under each corner and do the same. Or try running through the gears with the transfer case in neutral.

okay, I will check the rear bearing in the transmission first then put the transmission back together and in the car. Then try running the car without drive shafts, (this might take me a day or two because I got the whole thing pulled apart..)

I did run the transfer case in neutral before I pulled the transfer case but wasn't able to reproduce the noise like it normally does.

    just an update,

I pulled the whole transmission apart to check the bearings just in case. I found nothing and put that back together and resealed the thing. I did switch the GL5 to gl4 it moves easier...shifts better too. Guess walmart gear oil is bad...

ran threw all the gears and with out shafts.
Put the front shaft on and jacked up the front ran threw all the gears.

I jacked up the rear and heard a faint noise from the pinion area of the dana 44 when spinning the tire by hand. I think its safe to assume it is the pinion bearing or something in the dana 44. I will investigate when I get time again.
