What can I do to have a "silent" Jeep CJ5 1971 - noise origin?

My CJ5 is in relativey good condition. Engine OK, brakes not so bad but when I drive it is really noisy, like a coffe grinder with sand in it.

Apparently, nothing is looking bad when we look behind.

Oil and grease have been put everywhere according to data book.

The noise seems more on the front right side. My front right brake is a little bit difficult, but it works.

The Jeep goes well in straight line when I leave the steering wheel ( not too long).

What can I change to have less noise inside?

How much does it cost? We are in France with few spare parts. And expensive.

    Merci.

You may want to pull the right front tire and take a look at your brakes. Also noise could be a bearing going bad. When were the wheel bearings packed or replaced ? How about the shoes ? Are they worn ?

X2 on the wheel bearing. I had one seize up on me and it made an awful lot of noise.

Also look at the body mounts under the floor boards, thay rust out and you have metal to metal that make noise.

Brakes worn to the point you have metal to metal contact? Bearings going bad?

And Jeeps are quite noisy anyway.

I'd say he has brakes that needed attention. Once there, he might find other issues but those are a start...
