FYI I picked up one of those reproduction ones off EBay- it appears to be very well made & it comes keyed as a "blank, these should be customizable by a lock smith to match the ignition key.

Interesting. I'm not sure how mine will arrive but the key in the ebay photo looks like a blank. I'd probably be too much to ask to match my ignition and hardtop door keys. :)

The only thing I'm concerned about with this lock is how long it is. As long as the locking mechanism is the correct length, I don't suppose it matters. Stay tuned...

I got the lock today and it looks to be just the correct size. Great find. Thanks.

I also picked up one of the NOS ones off EBay as well (this is turning into an addiction :().

I'd say the repro is a much better built piece- the key fit isn't as sloppy & the barrel isn't as loose in the case as the NOS unit, overall a much smoother action all around

I think the ad for the one I got on eBay said original equipment but even if it's a repo, it's in better condition than the one it's going to replace. That one latches but won't lock. This one will do both. :stout:

    Dang! No pics. :(

Found a broken latch on a 67 '5 and I'm hoping to repair it.
