Anyone good with engine numbers on an F head?

    Did a quick search and couldn't find anything. My numbers on this F head is

    4j407346

    Or tell me where to look it up at.

    That particular number indicates an original engine from a 1954 CJ-3B.

    One more question about the motor, Under the 1/4" of grease and grime it appears to be an orange kinda color, did the any of the F heads come in orange. Or is that the iron oxide primer coming thru? As much grease oil dirt that was on the motor i'm sure it was never painted past the factory.

    The orange that is often seen may be a sealer/primer. Most blocks were black.
