In my '70 CJ5, the center hump portion of the front floor panel just bolts in and I am trying to find a replacement panel. I have looked at many different websites that sell body panels, but have yet to find the center hump. Any one have any suggestions? I'm not talking about the rectangular shaped transmission cover, i'm talking about the entire center hump section. Thanks in advance for your input!

You may have to take it from another Jeep body. All the CJ-5s and CJ-6s are the same, '55-74. In '75 they simply welded the removable panels in, and the floors changed a lot from '76 on. The M38A1 and M170 should be the same as the early CJ-5/6.

Call Classic Enterprises and ask their advice. http://www.classicent.com/jeep.php

I have to disagree on all floor pans being the same from '55-74. There are bolt hole differences, transfer case shifter hole differences, shifter boot hole differences, throttle pedal bolt up and linkage hole differences, etc, etc. While they can be made to work they are not all the same.

I am looking for this same panel for my 55 cj5. I have bought all of my repair panels and braces from classicent and they are great. But they do not offer this panel. Any ideas where to pick one up?

I would look for a used part from a wreck or parted-out Jeep. Check if there is a Jeep/4WD/offroad forum in your area. Network with the members there and ask about wrecking yards in your part of the country that have Jeeps. Or maybe the members will have leads for you. Some online "leg work" usually pays off... at some point you'll have to get off the 'net and talk topeople on the phone or in person.

You can also try car-part.com - I did a search for "floor pans" '55-75 CJ, and got two hits. The first is J&W (no surprise) and the second is in Fort Collins. Might be worth checking out, though it's a big part to ship that far.

Just received my Trans cover panels today, made by MD Juan. Have a 69 tub, the fit is not perfect ,but will be able to make them work. Will do a thread on them, I hope this weekend. It's Kentucky Derby week here, lots of places to drink beer at
