Silly me.........it never occurred to me the rear disc brakes on my D60 needed a banjo bolt to attach the brake line on the back of the calipers. Not until I was getting ready to run the rear brake line along the axle.

So, my first thought is to find some sort of conversion fitting so I can run hard lines to the back of the calipers. But I can't find anything that will work. And when I looked on the internet, I did not find anything that would allow me to get rid of the banjo bolt and just go straight hard lines. Seems like someone would make that but I can't find it.

If you know of a conversion fitting, please let me know.

If I have to stay with banjo fittings and flexible lines I've seen people run the flexible line along the axle until the end and then they switch it too a hard line. Then one flexible line from the axle to the frame. Or they ran the flexible line like they would a front line, from the caliper up to the frame. Seems like this would have a greater chance of getting hung up but I don't know.

Any thoughts on running lines or converting banjo fittings to flair fittings?

I'm doing disc brakes on my rear 60 as well. I purchased a set of short Chevy Caviler hoses ($10) to go with my k-20 calipers.

I run short soft hoses from the caliper to a hard line on the axle. This allows easy servicing of the brakes and also allows the calipers to move freely like they are supposed to. Hard lines to the calipers can hinder movement of the calipers

inlinetube.com and hydraulicstore.com have lots of brake fittings, hoses, tubing, etc. In steel or stainless steel. I used tubing & fittings from inline tube to plumb my 55 chevy pickup and am happy with their products and service.
