A friend bought a jeep recently and the roll bar had padding different from most I have seen. It almost felt like leather and was black. It looked and felt so much better than the usual pipe insulation/electrical tape aerup;)

Anybody know where I can get some of this?

I'm not sure where to get it, but my roll bar came with a vinyl wrap. It was pretty shot, but I kept it to use as a pattern.

Jeg's and Summit used to sell rollbar padding wrap as well as closed cell padding. Might be worth a look

I bought my 63 willys a little over a year ago and it came with the leather pad cover. You can see the leather lacing in the picture

I bet a boat top place or upholstery shop could make some

All that I've seen from the speed shops are for 1 1/2-1 3/4" tubing like they use on race cars-nothing for 2" tubing.

Might be worth a call. Many times stuff is available that's not listed on websites or in catalogs. I've purchased lots of stuff from Summit over the years they don't have listed
