I got the plates cut out. I'm going to have the machine shop drill the holes for me since I really don't feel like drilling 16 9/16 holes in 3/8 plate. Then I will round off the corners.

Yes I am. I saw them off and drill the holes on my mill, stay over on friday mornings at work and use the CNC to pocket them and cut the rad.

That is also what I used to make the ones on my B. Welded a "T" in the middle with the same material. If you have a decent drill press, they are absolutely simple to make. Just have to make sure everything stays square when welding them up. Confer was the inspiration to make mine. Ordered a set of Confer's and they were decidedly trapezoidal- to the point they weren't usable. Personally, I don't want the extra flex from a 2 piece design-torquing the bolts in shear at an angle just doesn't seem like a long lasting engineering solution.

I've run that same set of shackles now for 39 years. Guess they passed the test.

    Mcruff,

A long those lines I was wondering if you could make these?
They are spacer blocks that go between the frame and bumpstop that came on farm jeeps with front frame mounted weight or somthing like that.
I find they make so the bump stops hit before taller tires hit the fender.
I got this pair off ebay and have never seen another set. I'd like a set for the rear too.
