I need to ask a favor of someone with a CJ2a. I'm trying to mock-up my roll cage but do not currently have a windshield frame for my Jeep. Can anyone tell me the distance from the top of the dash to the top of the windshield frame......Or the distance between the floor pan and top of the windshield frame?

    Thanks,
    Joe

From the floor pan to the top of my 2A is 451/2. my junk is not perfect condition! I also measured from the rear of the tub, on the inside top of the wheel well, to the top of the frame, at a angle. Is 69"

Now is there anyone else who can chime in? I just want to be sure before I start cutting my tubing for the cage.

That is just the info. I needed. Thank you all!!!

Now anyone know of a good source for a new or used windshield frame? Doesn't have to be perfect. Just no bends or rust holes.

    Thanks again,
    Joe

If you are interested in coming up across the border to B.C. I have a couple of 2A frames. One is slightly worse shape than the other. A case of beer or a nice bottle of some crown royal and the more beat up one is yours. Something slightly more for the other.

Greg that's a great offer but I'd spend $400+ in fuel getting there and back! If for some reason I'm ever in the neighborhood, Or at least closer I'll take you up on it. :D

I have a outer frame here I would let go of... if its a wheeler rig, I know guys that cut a piece of plexy glass and screw it to the frame and not use inners..
Its not perfect but its in decent condition.
I would be willing to trade it for something I may be needing for my heep!

Hey Sparky I don't really care what it looks like as long as it's not bent up. What kind of stuff are you looking for? PM me if you prefer.

    Thanks,
    Joe
