Flatty Rear wheel well help

    Guys i was going to start rebuilding them last nite. But quickly relized i dont have pics of them anymore. Does anyone have pics of theres. I need to know where the bends are at. Im using my stock seats and want them as close to stock looking as possible. Pics would be great please

    I'll post them here and email them to you so you'll have a spare. ;)

    From the toolbox up to the bend at the seatbelt is 7.25".
    from the seatbelt to the top is 6".
    The fender well is 32" long and 11" high and about 10 3/8" wide.
    The triangular part:
    hypotenuse (side looking toward the rear floor) is 6.75"
    The other two sides are 4 5/8"

    hey...dont want to hijack but I need measurements of the floor from the pedals to the rear by gate length and width please....basically Ive got a tub from that point forward and would like to build it from there back.... firewall hood and rad support good rest bad

    huh? :? You need the front floor and the rear floor measurements?

    if you draw a line across the tub at the peddles from there forward i have from there back is missing looking to try to make the back half...

    I cant help you there. Mine is not going back to completely stock looking with factory looking metal. I took pics...messured and cut the whole floor out. Now im making everything my way...its going to be a trail rig anyway

    just wanted to get close to stock wanted to be certain that other parts like a soft top may fit later...

    not a big issue, would love to find some body drawings with measurements like a modern frame/body book. are the tubs the same width across the back as a newer cj like a 74 ? ive got both sides to the wheelwell opening but someone before me put some plate steel on the rear wells and back.

    You'd certainly have better luck starting your own post and asking for exactly what you want. Do we even know exactly what it is you're working on? A flatty I assume?

    I like the triangles. So will your shin. You may want to kick back the drivers wheelwell so you can set your seat back for leg room.[​IMG]

    WOW that looks really nice. But im going to stay with the factory seats in mine. Ive asked the wife many times in the last 6 monthes......are you sure the factory seats work for you? answers the same Yep.

    This mod just let you mount the factory seat a few inches further back.

    Im ok with the seat in the stock location. Im only 5 7
