brake issues and parts

    i recently rebuilt the mc on my 66 cj5. now for some reason the brakes work but there is no play in the pedal, just 1/8 inch of movement and ther are locked . there is just no play in the pedal. is this normal? also anyone have a good used mc cap and ebrake cable laying about?

    Check the push rod adjustment and the linkage for play or wear.

    Once again, please put wanted stuff in the classifieds section. That's what it's there for...:beer:

    It's the flat washer that is installed behind the snap ring in the mc plunger. Easy fix. Did it last week to my 71.

    what was theissue with the flat washer on yours? mine does not move and nothing is hitting it.
