fiberglass top value ?

Im thinking of selling my hardtop. It fits 76-86 cj5 it is in very good shape built about 6yrs ago. I paid close to $2000 for it. What would I ask for it now?

I've seen 76-86 CJ5 hardtops (with doors) go from $200.00 all the way up to $1600.00.

I happened to get the $200.00 one from a guy who didn't know what he had there.

The $1600.00 ones that I've seen sold on ebay, appeared to be pristine. They were 20+ years old, but looked brand new.

You said yours was built 6 years ago....by whom? Or, did you mean that you bought it 6 years ago? What brand is it?

those prices seem fairly resonable for a custom made top and doors for what is definitely a niche market.



Back on topic, around here in NJ, when a decent condition fiberglass cj5 hard top show up for sale
they generally go for around $800-1000
