Track bar on a 58?

    Did the early CJ5 ever have a track bar on either axle? I'm thinking of adding one or 2.

    Nope. Won't buy you anything except limited articulation IMO.

    Why might I ask do you think you need one? No need for them when you have leaf springs.

    The front end is kind of shakey. I hadn't committed to it or anything. My stock springs are wore slap out as well as the shackles and mounts. I have a set of YJ springs that I'm going to use as soon as I get new spring bushings. Already have the mounts and shackles made, just need to get them installed.

    Fix the worn out stuff and get it back to normal before you even think about adding new stuff. The factory setup works pretty well when there are good components in there...

    x3 :iagree: for what its worth my buddy has a newer jeep with 4 link & coils my m38a1 will flex just as much as his (we put them to the test) his will flex a little more, but his jeep is wider and longer, so pans out the same
