T90 Front Bearing

    Anyone know if the front bearing can be replaced from the front of trans without total dissassembly? Looks like a lock ring is all that holds it in position.

    every one that i have fooled with no. dont know if its age, or if that bearing is pressed on. but it can be a bear to get off of the shaft.

    With the right bearing puller it can be removed. Without, you are going to have a heckuva time usually as they can be hard to remove. Sometimes they pop off fairly easy but rarely have I had that kind of luck.

    also once you get the bearing off there is another set of bearings in the end of the input shaft. these are in there loose(not caged) if the input or output shaft seperate they will fall out and down into the bottom of the case

    Thanks for the input. I'll look at the bearing size and check my pullers.
