Cooling fan clearance issues

The PO added fiberglass tub and fenders to my 68. Some how he lost some space between the fan and the radiator. I hit a snow bank pretty hard while plowing and the motor came forward enough to destroyed the radiator. I had a new triple row copper radiator made that only left a half inch between the water pump pulley and the radiator. Jeep ran fine on the road but would eventually over heat when plowing. One thing i did was tape off the fresh air deduct hole. Also I let the hood open about two inches and run the heater
