Does anyone know of a good replacement seat for a stock 66 CJ5?How about the Rugged
Ridge seats?

I can tell you stay away from the Bestop fixed back cheap-butt seats. They have a protrusion on the bottom that push them too far forward and they sit too high with the factory bracketry. The Bestop trailmax pro and their upper level versions fit ok. There are lots of wrecking yard seats like Honda's and others that fit great. Look for something with a thin base and back that reclines. Lots of options out there if you're willing to look.

 

Are you looking to get rid of your original 66 seats?

 

I have the Corbeau Baja RS seats up front and the baja fixed bench in back. Did some cutting of fender wells but you can't tell from the outside. They look sweeeeeet. (or is that a younger generation word?)
