Im glad to hear i got a good one.
Daryl rebuilds these from top to bottom and he obviously has a strong passion for his art. I dont know the history of the shell or frame, Ive been wondering how it stayed so nice as well.

Seriously I feel like ive purchased one of his art pieces. (very FUNCTIONAL art)
He may chime in here and let you know but ill get the full history on saturday.
Daryl is a great honest person and im lucky to have come across such a Jeep guru.

:(I know how you feel on the jealous thing allison.:(
In my vintage Bmw forum days wed see this happen all the time.
Im sure the guy that bought my car is on the forums showing off my work but it just feels good knowing that i made it and that he will enjoy it.

    I got lucky.
    Got a finished car,
but im going to be tweaking/tuning it like crazy.
Believe me if u saw my 76 bmw and all ive done to it you'd know im a amateur builder/parts adder as well.

Seems a little wierd to see a Jeep I built in pics on the forum. The tub is original. I have been doing this my entire life and have never come across an original tub(or aftermarket for that matter) that is as nice as this one. Very rare for the PNW. This is about number 12 using this drivetrain. I had a guy test drive it who's wife has a 2004 Wrangler, and he said the flatty drove better. Every one put back together saves one from the scrapman!

How that 1st guy did not buy it after driving is amazing to me.
    Im glad he passed.
    :driving:
On the test drive i did not let her warm up at all. It was a hot day and i figured it would be fine (I was excited). It was rough till it warmed then shes great.
I warm her up alittle now and Gretchen gets goin great!

It was a graduation present for a 18 yo kid. Forgive me for talking the parents out of buying it. Part of me just couldnt handle it getting trashed. Just not the platform for a kids adventures.
