    Hi Guys

Iam trying to buy a used powerloc from a guy.

He say's it will fit my dana 30 with 3.73's.

but it came out of a early bronco with 4.10's.

my undestanding is the brake it around 3.90.
    And therefore it wouldnt fit.

he saying his spicer book says the brake is at 3.54.

    Anybody know forsure??

On a Dana 30 3.73 down to 5.38 is one case commonly referred to a 4 series case. 3.54 to 2.54 is another case referred to as a 3 series case. Dana 44's the split is 3.92 down to 5.38 and 3.73 to 2.54. Nickmil

    I just saved a couple hundred $$

i was thinking that the 44 brake was the same for a 30 and almost spent a bunch of cash for nothing:rofl:
I have a carrier that will work and was just rebuilt so thats very good news just have to switch out R/P.

    Thanks again!!

I am looking at a used 44 with power lock for the rear offered by a member of my local 4x4 club. What should I expect to pay for a used setup like this? I have uncovered my old 66 in the hopes of bringing it back to life this summer. Any pro's cons of this particular setup? Any help is appreciated. ~slifter

For comparison, there's one in the classifieds for $175:
