I found 2 postal jeeps at the local Pick and Pull. The drums look to be 10 inch ( I didn't have my tape). Even though they are 2 wheel drive the front hubs look to be the same as the 4X4. Will these backing plates and drums fit my 61 CJ3B? The yard wants 25.00 per axle. Are the 10 inch worth the trouble or should I hold out for the 11 inchers? Thanks

The parts for 10" drums are getting really hard to find, I would hold out for the 11" brakes.

There are many vehicles that make good donors for 11" brake parts.

    Yep. :iagree:

Your time and effort has to count for something. May as well do it right with 11" brakes.

I like the 10's because you can use the same pads on the front and back :)

If you put 11" on front and back you can do the same and have much better stopping and much better availability of parts. Disc brakes have pads, drum brakes have shoes;).
