I'd like some opinions

I did rubbers. they are 2 or 3 bucks each. supposidly they wear quicker but don't squeak. I kinda don't want a squeaky jeep, and for 2 bucks each, I'll replace them again sometime.

 

I have never ran any polyurethane bushings so I dont have an opinion of any value there.
I have been happy with the performance of the stock bushings ( steel outer and inner sleeve with rubber between ). Especially since I figured out that my C-Clamp style U-Joint Press is the greatest thing since sliced bread to push these bushings in and out with (-:

 

rubber for sure, the problem with poly is it has no give. i put some in the rear of a rally car Subaru i built for a guy and bent 4 set of lateral links in one rally. i used STi rubber ones in the replacements and did the rest of the season on one set.

I have polys now, but I'm thinking about swapping them for rubbers. I'm getting tired of the squeaking.

Yep. Rubber wears out fast compared to poly.

 

On the narrow springs like those, I don't think the polys last any longer. I used to wear them out quickly.

 

Poly. I tried rubber and poly. Rubber ones I was wearing out in 6 months or less. The poly ones lasted 2 years. If you got 7 years out of them with off road use you done gudR). Nickmil

 

Don't want to hijack the thread here, but . . .

Any chance you could post a picture of your "C-Clamp style U-Joint Press."

BTW: If you have problems with rubbber bushings and the like, coat them with glycerin (you'll find it in the drug store on the shelf with Witch Hazel and the other liquids that most of us don't know what to do with). Not only will it make the rubber item slide right in place but it will add life to the rubber as well.
