Hello all, I've looked through this forum for a while and have gotten alot of info. I just purchased a 1974 cj and have a couple of questions maybe someone can help..
    1. just under the jeep logo on the side there are stick-on emblems that say CJ5 are these factory installed or are they add-ons.
    2. Can someone Identify the hardtop, I can't find a manf. tag on it, also is there a market for these tops because once I remove it, it will never go back on. (Soft Top replacement)
Here are a couple of pictures. Thanks

Welcome from California, Thats a great looking cj. I believe the emblems are stock and I'm sure someone would love to relieve you of that hard to find top.

Hey Paul M - welcome from Boston.
Yes, the CJ-5 badges are factory.
Re the top, might be a Koenig http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Hardtops/Koenig.html A better picture of the doors would help.

The market for hard tops varies. They are more popular in colder climates than in the southwest (I presume you are in NM?). Shipping would be difficult.

Welcome from Virginia, your top appears to be a Kelley bonanza top (if that is a visor I see over the windshield frame). it was the top of the line for Kelley. It is a sought after top, but value will depend on condition and where you are in the country.

Here's a little bigger picture of the jeep maybe this will help I.D. the top. I bought it in N.M. But I live in Texas. It's in great shape. [IMG]

No help with the top but love the 5.
White steelies and the hood decal with the white top, I like it!!

I'd ditch the ram hood ornament though. :)

If you lived closer, I would gladly take that top off your hands.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I still can't tell if it's koineg or a kelly can't find an exact match. But it is in great shape as is the jeep. It was a 1 owner, 89,000 miles, garage kept and professionaly maintained. As for the color it was a paint over, and not a very good one therefore I'm now in the process of repainting back original Jet Set Blue. I'm keeping every thing original with the exception of the tire's, wheels and fender flares. I'll post more pictures when I'm finished. As for as the top, it will be for sale soon.

Your top looks just like my top on my 1971 CJ-5 except at the top in the front. There mine is curved at the corners and down to the windshield. Like yours there is nothing on the top to tell me who made it nor did the guy I bought it from have any Idea.
I had bought this top locally and painted and installed it after my soft top had got pretty cheesy.

If you're still uncertain, maybe you should follow up with $ sink and see if you can confirm that it's a Kelly Bonanza. His description seems to match.
