    Hi all!
I just became a member to this great site, so bare with me... kind of new at this Forum stuff.
I got a question. How rare are the steel factory hard tops built by Meyer? I have a 68 Cj5 that I'm working on (soft top) and just got a 74 with a ugly steel hard top (with crank up windows). I was ready to throw it away when a friend of mine said that the factory hard tops are worth some bucks!! Is this true? Would it be worth restoring it?

The hard tops aren't rare but aren't on every street corner either. DON'T just throw it away if you decide not to use it. Someone will want it or parts of it. Some of the parts can be hard to come by, things like hinges, latches, windshield to door spacers, etc. have good value to someone who needs them. The roll up windows are a nice option. Nickmil

Never just throw Jeep parts away. Someone will always take free parts off your hands and someone can always use it. :)
