My tranny keeps falling out of 3rd when I let off the gas. Does anyone know where I can find (buy or borrow) a good T98 service manual? I have the Jeep CJ Rebuilder's Manual but the T98 section isn't very detailed. I really don't want to spend $350(lowest quote here in Spokane) just in labor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Too bad you're not closer. I only charge $100 labor to go through them. That's if it's out of the vehicle though. Nickmil

Get in touch with Herm the Overdirve Guy, I know he rebuilds a lot of differnt Jeep tranny's, and only charges around $100 for labor. He is located in Brush Prairie, WA...not sure how close that is to you.

I might be willing to drive to Portland...If it won't take longer than a weekend.
