Wiring lights for towing

    My tow vehicle has the standard 4 prong wiring harness. The colors are white, brown, yellow, and green. Does anyone know which wire does what? :) :v6: :flag:

    Usually........
    white is ground
    brown is tail light
    yellow and green are left and right turn signals/ stop

    Best way is to use a test lamp/probe. Ground it to the bumper/hitch and turn the parking lights on. The pin that lights the lamp is the running lights. Turn on one turn signal, and the one that flashes is that side's brake/turn lamp. Repeat for the other side. The one that you haven't accounted for is the ground.

    I'd still double check it with a test light though just to make sure whoever wired it wired it correctly. Nickmil
