That's a BT3-C. You can see the original 3 hooks, with others added between. And I can see a stake pocket, so yeah, Bantam.

    What does BT3-C imply?

    Bt3-c is a model number
Bantam made a few trailers. The 3-c has a tailgate and is the civilian equivalent to the ww2 military trailers anyone with a government contract could make.
My m416 looks the same at a glance, uses a lot of the same parts but wasn't made by Bantam.

The common war 2 trailer was MBT (MB trailer), by Willys. Bantam was relegated to trailers, since it missed out on the jeep contract to Willys, and eventually Ford. The Bantam BT3 was the war 2 jeep trailer, the C was added for the civvy version. Somewhere I have a Montgomery Ward ad from the 40's that shows Bantam selling them.
This is my data plate, it actually says T3-C, now that I look closely.

The tailgate, 3 hooks on the sides, ball hitch, stake pockets are the dead giveaways.

Used the Bantam to haul some wood chips from down by the farm field:

Up to the corals to fill in some muddy high traffic areas. The wood chips work great for that:

Then we hauled the scaffold from the shop to the barn:

We needed to clean up a storm damaged tree up in the farm fields. Even though the surface of the field looks dry, but it's a thin layer over the top of 8 inches of mud. The truck sinks in 4-6 inches and can't make it up the shallowest of hills.

Quad and Bantam trailer to the rescue! The ground pressure was light enough we could climb up the hills to the tree without sinking into the mud layer.

The post-trimin pile of branches form the damaged tree:

Three trips loaded up like this got it all out:

While the trailer was hooked up, we used it to haul a 125 lb mineral bucket into the sheep/horse pasture:

The dogs seem to like the mineral as much as the livestock:

Using the Bantam again to pick up a bunch of rotten wood and other trash around the old combines:

Looking more tidy and less nails and other bad stuff for the livestock to step on:

I know I should be pulling it with one of the Jeeps, but it's the perfect quad trailer too:
