That's a great idea for a console. Looks good!
But...a vape machine in an old Jeep? People will think your old Jeep is on fire! Just kidding.

I finished up my repairs after my stolen cb incident. New CB, Coax cable, speedo cable, fixed wires pulled out of fuse block, fixed wires pulled from ign. switch, new choke cable. Touched up dashboard paint. So...I have it back to where it was two weeks ago. On the plus side maybe I can start cutting out some trailer parts tonight.

I really want to go test the rear brakes but I don't have a seat or accelerator.

Been working on fixing some rust issues and putting in a temp floor until I start a restoration. Covered the bottom of the pan with rubberized sealant.

Not sure of the code, but Omaha Orange is the color. My uncle, the OO, says it was always that color however per Kaiser's color options, it wasn't an option in 70 when he bought it new at the dealer. It's a '69 based on serial number, albeit late. It is a Canadian built Jeep, from the Ontario plant, so maybe they still did Omaha Orange there.

Too bad CRUSH isn't available for tags in MD...I check monthly.

walked past the parts today in various places, the body parts waiting for another spritz of primer, the motor waiting to be seated into the frame...

noticed the various bits of dust here and there.

need to get back on it...

I've been driving the Cherokee to work. I miss my Farm Jeep Willy. The heck with it, I'm driving Willy to work, but I will park about a half mile away from my office, in a nice area.

I never leave anything that can be stolen in my jeep. I also have a link from a chain welded to my shifter that I use to lock the transmission in reverse. I need to weld one to my D18 too. For the time being I just park it with my front wheel turned into the curb.

When I had my '67 VW bus, you could drill a hole through the ebrake lever and pad lock the shifter to it. The brake and shifter were tall and parallel with one another.

My package of 5 relays, and connectors arrived, so I rewired my trailer connector box, I run a separate power feed to the box, then 1 relay for left, one for right and one for tail lights, this way the trailer is not a strain on my turn signals. I also installed a 7pin connector in preparation for my new trailer axle with electric brakes.

The Switch....... That's for my brother, his left and right are reverse from mine, so when ever I tow his stuff I just flip the switch and "voila" left is right ....

Got my jeep out on a buddys farm. Pretty steep hilly place. Found a new respect for the old girl. Stock on 31s made my buddys tundra on 35s look like a boat anchor going through some of the wash outs. Had to give him a pull a couple times.

A few months ago I was coming home in the Jeep and I heard a loud screech when I applied the brakes. I knew it was the passenger side drum and since I took the engine out I didn't bother to look then. So last night I got the engine back in it and I took off the wheel. Brake drum was broke in half. Never seen it before. Also I found out that my passenger side axle has atleast a half inch or more of end play. I don't want to dump money into the M20 so I'm going to scour some junkyards for a dana 44.[IMG] [IMG]
