R&P 4WD ?

Does anybody know what happened to RP 4WD? I have been trying to contact John for weeks now through the phone or e-mail with no luck. He set up my Dana 30 for me last summer and was great to deal with. I was hoping to do some more business with him. Is he still in business?

 

He has been busy with the addition of child number two. He is mainly doing wholesale parts to other vendors. Lots of brake kits and some new stuff also. Scaling back on what he is offering.

 

Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know what vendors are offering his brake kits? I've heard good things about his rear disc brake kits for the dana 44, that's mainly what I am after.

 

E-mailing John is the only way to contact him at this point. Don't bother calling. He hasn't answered the phone since December and he hasn't been checking the voicemail.

Seems like R & P on line closed their web site.
They had some good quality products & conversions for brake upgrades.
After some searching! I Found a source at ScoutPluSS,
They are primarily a Classic Scout 4x4 page, vendor & shop, but they do have
R & P products for brakes in stock for CJs.
I got their R&P Wilwood Dual master cyl. Kits w/remote reservoirs
for my 55' CJ 3B. They gave good advice, service.

I have disc front and 11" drum in the rear with a inline proportioning
valve. I got the dual mstr. Cyl. kit from them. It is was compact & had
no brake line clearance issues w/the bell housing like other dual mstr. Cyl kits.
Came with print out instructions to install.
At 4,000 miles....So far it's working well.

thats what it said last time i went to their site a little over a month ago.

 

You can try "the jeep guy' he also does all the brake stuff and has a web site, great to talk to.

What happened to R&P4wd? I called their number and now it is R&P early jeep. Not the same guy's. The new shop does not have a web site. They are an early cj5 shop for repairs and fabrications. Word of mouth only.

 

I think they have refocussed their business.
