Looking at the steering box mount and tyrod end it looks like buba's been hard at work here. But compaird to what I just looked at the side of the road here, (47 CJ2, lived its life in Canada with a snow plow on) this one is almost ready to go. Finding a body in that good a shape is a pipe dream here.

That picture of the frame side engine mount looks like a stock V6 mount. Is the transmission crossmember gone?

Just for fun, what does your VIN number start with, 8305 or 8322? The reason I ask is that I see no indications of a Tuxedo Park in any of your photos. No emblem holes in the side of the hood, no license light holes in the tailgate, floorplate doesn't look right, wrong bumpers, ect. Lots of things could have been changed aroound over the years, but I see no indications of an original Tux. What kinds of chrome parts did it come with?
If this were mine, I would find a Buick V6, 225 odd or 231 even fire (front mount distributor and compact size) and a 3 or 4 speed to used with a D18 t/c. I would keep the stock axles under it as the narrow track keeps things more compact without tires hanging out way past the body. These early Jeeps are very capable even in near stock form.
