Where is/in East Sunny Slope, AZ? I live near Tucson and I can tell you that is not the case in Southern AZ or in West AZ. All the fuel in AZ comes thu the same pipelines from TX & CA and they are not going to change delivery for part of the State, The economics are not there to make this feasible . These same pipeline also supply the most Northern part of Mexico, approximately 100 miles south of the AZ/MX border, with the same fuel supplied to AZ. All the fuel is trucked to the higher elevation stations from these lines. Would love to know where this is as if it is not far away I will run up there to fill up my tanks as milage is better without Ethanol and have a nice day trip. Would also love to see your support for you statement about Vapor Locking if you turn of your vehicle in high temps. Did a search on Google and could not find anything close to the statement as we are talking about a blended fuel. This was not a identified problem even with E85. It is if you are talking about trying to run very high percentages of Ethanol but not at the levels required by law.

Agree, my MTS tank is near bullet-proof. Like anything you get what you pay for. After much research I also went with MTS.

This is an issue with plastics. UV exposure will break the cross-links in the plastic and make it brittle. Takes a lot of sun, but direct sun for many years could make the plastic brittle, and lead to breakage. Modern plastics often contain UV stabilizers that extend the life of the plastic, but I would presume that they are consumable in the plastic, and only extend plastic life by some fixed amount.

If you want to buy an MTS tank, give them a call and ask about the UV stability of the plastics they use.

These things are black Tim, that would be carbon & indicates that they're pretty much immune to UV penetration. If they were natural I'd say you have a point.

I just received my 15 gallon MTS tank this week. Obviously I can't give a durability report but it does appear to be well made. I can also say the person who helped me on the phone was very knowledgeable and gave great customer service. Mine is a custom application so I went with the 78+ model due to the smaller filler inlet.

Was just checking out the MTS tanks. They look pretty good, definitey not what we had but I have a question - do they all have the fuel line on top and if so why?

knothead, if your tank is 15 gallons that is not an underseat one right?

Well folks, the plastic one came in. It was an MTS. It didnt clear the floor hump I added to the Aqualu body which gave more trans/transfer case clearance. Looks like I'm building one from stainless or aluminum.
