Nice job of winding the cable on the drum, sort of an obsession of mine to get the wraps orderly.
Do a search, a lot of the Koenig parts are available, they're still being made, just not sure of parts for this model.

I have the low mount Koenig King on my 3B, even with the brake parts in place it tended to unwind over a period of time.
I have a ratchet strap wrapped around it and the bumper to keep things from turning.
Nice Harley Davidson strap they use when they ship the bike to the dealer, just 15k for 2 straps but they they throw the bike in there too on the deal, you just have to remember to ask for the straps, they don't tell you about them, most dealers have a box full of them in the back room.

I might be wrong but I think I have seen adjustable winch brakes?

I have too, but on other applications.

The stock part I linked to is designed to apply when the winch is in neutral, and is spring loaded so you can pull out cable manually, but it doesn't freewheel. Mine works perfectly.

I like your fair lead setup. That one looks pretty heavy duty. Which one is that?

I wonder about the hook. Would a hook with the spring loaded closure tab be better? I'm thinking that when you go to hook to a strap, while you walk back to the jeep it comes off the hook. Could be a maddening thing if by yourself.

I'm having the old brake relined at a local brake and clutch shop. I don't want to have to deal with a money order.

The fair lead is from Northern Tools its a pierce arrow for a 8inch drum. The reason I bought it was because it had grease fittings on the top and bottom rollers.

The hook is pretty heavy so maybe I won't have any trouble with it.
