Random button on my dash

    [​IMG] this button is in my 70 cj5 and i was just wondering if anyone knew what it was or what it did? any help would be awesome

    Looks like an old horn button. Push it and see what happens. But don't have anyone sititng in the passanger seat, just in case it's an ejector button.

    it activates the question puller, seems like it still works:)

    Do you have an electric fuel pump? I had a "random button" which would by-pass the oil pressure guage. Pressing this button would allow the electric fuel pump to operate even if there was no oil pressure.

    Had one just like it on a 1971. The button is aftermarket, and could be hooked up to anything. Mine was hooked up to the horn. If you have wires connected to it, follow them to where they lead. If it's the horn, there should only be 2 wires, and one of the wires from the button should lead directly to the horn under the hood.

    yep I would guess horn or starter , maybe a caution do not touch button
