You can find Left hand lug nuts on Google shopping. RH lug nuts you can get at walmart.

its funny i had a flat on the 58 today and my son couldn't break the lugs loose before he broke a stud off i thought this could be left hand threads sure enough. I wish i would have read this thread earlier

Look on the end of the lug stud. The vast majority have an "L" on the end which is a giveaway. Most folks convert to right hand unless doing a correct restoration.

i run left handed studs all the way around on my trail toy it has stopped stopped at least thief so far (i caught him in the act and he stripped out the nut he was tightening)i run capped acorn lugnuts so you cant see the "L"

and now i wish i could find left hand studs in a 9/16" size

I'm just trying to find that same lug nut I posted in the link in right hand thread. I have not been able to find it anywhere?

Seems to me O'Reilly's and Autozone carry them. Could be wrong. I don't use acorn nuts because my studs are long enough that they either don't tighten properly, or the acorn part pops off. I would rather have snug nuts on there. That "L" is only a give-away to anyone who owns one of these vehicles or is old enough to remember that all vehicles came that way until about '65 or so.
