i recently picked up a 75 cj5 with a glass tub and am looking for a mount for a spare tire and jerry can.doesnt seem like bolting something to the fiberglass would be too solid.anyone know of some type of bumper mount system or another alternative?

I have a swing a way with two Jerry can mounts from a now defunct website and have never been happy with it, wish I had saved a little more and gone with the Rock Hard (http://www.rockhard4x4.com/product_p/rh-2001-c.htm) a friend has one and I love it, also way less squeeking than any other I have been heard.

Are your tail lights down low, or up high on your '72? Seems like everything I run across would need the tail lights moved up.

Might also look in the Builds and Fabricators section here or use the search function. Tons of people here have built their own and a few have used the Cross Enterprises units and posted up pics. Some have even modified them to work from later Jeeps or other vehicles.

I got one of these on a recommendation from member EricM.

I had already made my rear bumper and just bought the upper half from dirtworx, he was located about 35 minutes from me so I saved on shipping as well.
Locks in solid and not much rattling going on. I added a tab to mount the cb antenna as well.

You are correct. I did remove the old light buckets and relocated them higher up in the corner guards.
