I'm looking to get this single barrel carb off of my dauntless, and install this new Rochester DualJet 210 i've had laying around for years.

I didn't know what the best recommended adapter plate to use for this dauntless, I don't know if it's better to go with a thinner one or thicker one etc..

Any body have experience in this setup? I searched but mainly found two barrel to four barrel swaps

    Thanks

Worse comes to worse, get a 2bbl manifold, they're not particularly hard to find. Heck, I know I've got a couple of them.

But being as this isn't the forum to be drumming up sales, I won't offer to sell you one =P

I know intake manifold would be the better idea, I just didnt' know how easy it'd be to find one of those as well. Maybe I found one? :)

Don't run a 2 barrel carb on a single barrel intake with adapter.

Fair warning, the Dualjet has a unique bolt pattern and a "D" style air cleaner pattern that is also unique. If you can find a Dualjet 231 intake used late '78 to around '82 you can use that on a 225 with the felpro intake gaskets.
The Dualjet is kind of an orphan but a great offroad carb In a Jeep. That's what I run and it's about the best stock 2 barrel you can get for flow and off road use. It's basically 1/2 of a quadrajet with a nice centered float.

Eh, while you're at it, might as well switch to a 4 barrel. :D

Performance gains using an adapter will be limited, since the engine still has to draw through the same size Venturi. Why not do a 2 bbl manifold while you are at it?
