I'm in the process of replacing my rear wheel bearings and was wondering if the bearing retaining collar comes with the new bearing? The listing for a 71 CJ5 rear bearing on NAPA doesn't mention it but a 73 CJ5 does.

I assume that if I use the bearings for a 73 then I should also get seals for a 73? I have a feeling that the parts listed for the 71 are for a tapered axle, not flanged.

Yes the #25877 is for tapered axle shafts.
You need the unit bearing for a flanged D44 rear axle.

Typically if you buy the axle bearing or rear wheel bearing kit it comes with the bearing, race, and collar. Most of the time it will not come with the inner or outer seal.

Forgot to mention, the flanged offset axle uses the same axle bearing and seals as the '72-'75 flanged Dana 44 so if you order the stuff you need for that you should be good to go.

I purchased one about a year ago and it was listed as "Set 10".
