    Hello

Some pictures of the 1970 CJ5 V6 that was restored with a reproduction MB body replacing the rusty original body.

PS, thank you all for the "Likes", and I should mention how gracious Kudo Productions were in getting back with me when I asked them what the color was used on the Jeeps in the TV series " Rogue Heroes", while they are based in London, their paint is not available in the U.S., but they gave me paint mix codes and I was able to replicate it from there.

I like it a lot, and a great job.

    Wonderful. But "restoration?" Anything but.

Good way to have a "WWII Jeep" that you can actually drive on modern roads. (y)

Thanks colojeepguy that's what I was going for, not trying to fool anyone, the CJ5 body was beyond repair, and I like the challenge of " this isn't supposed to go with this, lets make it work " Thanks Beach66Bum, the Dauntless at idle has a sound all it's own!

Very nice job. Always a great combo of drivetrain and body. And driveable, it's exactly what I would do.

We need to find something for the rear wheel center caps...
Like a milled down front hub or a full floating conversion.

Or just throw a D23 under there.

One suggestion- get rid of that "fly eye" air cleaner, those things are bad news. Don't filter worth a damn and it you get a backfire through the carb the foam melts.

Colojeepguy, I see your point on the air cleaner, but the MB hood sets close to the carb, that was the only thing I could find that would fit. Jw60, timsresort, you are right about the rear center caps, Fall was coming up fast and I wanted to get it out and drive it and to a car show so that is a detail that will be addressed over the winter. And timsresort, thank you!

Really nice conversion you have, I have a 43 mb. I have also thought of using the body and convert to a later model drive trane.
