    Good afternoon,

Relying on the kindness for the group on this one. Live in Baja and my 69 Dauntless has a rummy carb per the mechanic.

I have to be in Long Beach, CA for the next three days for a funeral, and wondering if anyone can recommend a carb replacement while here near Los Angeles and Orange County. I didn't bring the carb with me on flight.

Appreciate any advice and help. Thank you. Christian

What carb is on it now? Stock should be a small Rochester 2G, but there are many options.

With 3 days as a limit, it's going to be hard to find a replacement other than at a local auto parts store. Rock Auto has a part number, but it's out of stock. NAPA didn't list a part.

    boopiejones I can’t drive 55

One option would be to buy a knock-off carburetor from Amazon or eBay. I’d assume they’d ship directly to Mexico.

I don’t know anything about the knock off Rochester 2g carbs specifically, but I’m on a Mustang forum and people there speak highly of the knock off autolite 1100 carburetors.

for less than $100, it may be worth a shot…

What exactly is wrong with your carb?
The 2G series is a simple carb and easy to rebuild.

Back when I used to work in the area I'd shop here on occasion.
