Hi!;) I got to work on my newest hard top. The guy that sold it to me, he's on the Classic Bronco forum. He had this hard top for 5 years and it beneath a tree all that time and apparently was bombarded by limbs, small squirrels, or rodents of particularly large size! lol Amazingly enough, it's not in all that bad a shape except for all the dings.

This pic a took a little while ago, had just installed it on my fabulous light duty rotisserie;)

A couple days ago, a lot of sanding, and filling many pivots, divots, etc.

This morning, before the heat hit my building, I sprayed a coat of expoxy followed by two decent coats of high build primer. Still have a ways to go as there are quite a few lows to take care of. But I'm hoping to have it in paint soon, then install it on the bronco to free up some valuable space! ;)

Howdy!;) well, as good as the hard top looks in the previous pic, there's still some low spots, but I ran out of glaze/putty:( It will be here tomorrow along with the carpet! ;)

The circles are low spot; about 20 or so, what a pain;)

My brake booster assembly came in yesterday, it weighs a lot!

I'm glad I installed the inner fender specially made for the booster/mc clearance;)

A friend from the classicbronco had an Bendix type booster that he gave me. It's on the top, the little one came with the booster kit. What a difference!

OF all things, I'm rather excited about the carpet!

I , Myself , have never seen a dog leg MC / Booster set up ? Is that unique to Ford Bronco's ?

I remember the first time I saw this setup was a long time ago at a car gathering. A fella had this setup in his Bronco, so, I'd have to say yes to being unique to the bronco, but never know! ;)

No, it's not unique to Broncos, but it is certainly one of the more common places that most folks would ever encounter one.

The carpet came yesterday;) I let it sit opened up in the 105 degree sun to allow it to relax, but the rear carpet ~ not sure what to do with it. Was thinking to get some 1/4 or 3/8 plywood and fit it, and glue the cargo carpet to it. not sure.
crap, dinner time already! oh, should be painting the hard top in the morning! :bananatool:if all goes well that is;)

I'm pleased to show my hard top in its colors;) Tomorrow, I should be working on its insides, (insulation, head liner, etc) I'll put the glass in much later, just to allow for air flow while working on the Bronc. I hope to have it installed on the Bronco early next week :D

    Thank you! ;)
I had a little time today and installed the insulation~ same that I used on the floor. I also have the "factory head liner", it's just really heavy cardboard I'd say, but cut to fit. I ordered cloth foam back headliner to line it. I think it will look much better than the cardboard looking stuff.

Thank you for such a nice compliment! I still mess up now and then and have to repeat some of the painting, I've accumulated a great deal of experience over the years, but by no means a Pro, just have to keep striving to do the best we can, but with always, How can I do this better than what I have done? But I'm here and sometimes need advice, but the thumbs ups keep me motivated and I do so much appreciate those;)

got up earlier this morning to beat the heat and finished up the paint on the lift gate. IT's in really good condition;) now just waiting on a new handle and some other odds n ends. I need to install the lift gate before putting in the cheesy, but OK headliner. With the head liner installed, I wouldn't be able to get to the nuts on top inside the top. I won't be installing the glass for a while~ that will be easy;) What do you think, kind of a smoked glass look, and do I tent before installation or after the glass is installed? ;)

ps: I didn't paint it this way, I had in hanging in the other part of the garage, you know, the HOT area;)

Decided to go ahead and install the front clip~ wasn't too bad, just move this, move that to align parts; still some tweaking, but looks like a Bronco!;)

I think that once the hard top is installed, things will start meshing together. Tinted glass, maybe another rocker panel decal of some sort, universal fender flares, etc. oh, found out my AC system will arrive tomorrow! That'll be nice to get that installed and out of the way.
