Hello all,I picked up a Hy lo pump 2 weeks ago and I'm rebuilding it right now, my Question is the double pulley for the generator is the one part I don't have. From what I've read the 2 groove pulley on a military generator is different? and does anyone just run the pump from the crank or ? My 1958 is all stock trying to keep it that way. Thanks in advance.

Not sure on the military pulley. Ive got the 2 groove pulley on mine. I have/had a single pulley generator and know the pulleys just unbolt and can be swapped around

When I got my Jeep, the front groove, the wide one, drove the hydraulic pump for the plow and the back groove drove the water pump and the generator.

Never seen one powered from crank but you probably could if the belt clears the water pump and fan. Only issue i see with it is it would want to pull the hylo pump to the side i would think. Using the generator pulley you dont have any diagonal forces to pull it sideways

Okay cool, I was wondering if I could buy a military two groove pulley and use it, I thought I read they were different but not sure.
